The River Dee in Aberdeenshire passes through the Balmoral Estate, which is the holiday retreat of the British Royal Family. Since Queen Victoria bought the estate in the 1800s, members of the family have visited Balmoral for its peace and tranquility. This seat overlooks downstream of the river, from the Invercauld Bridge. Who knows, perhaps a king or queen have sat on this seat to enjoy the views.
